Halloween House

If you know me at all, you probably wouldn’t be shocked to find out Halloween is my favorite holiday. October is like everything I love most crammed into one month.

There are creepy things everywhere and no one finds it bizarre or morbid. There are a million horror movies to watch. There’s pumpkin spice everything. (Yep, I’m one of those people. In my house at this moment I have pumpkin spice flavored Oreos, M&Ms, Pop-Tarts, oatmeal, tea, liqueur, baking chips, and probably some other things I’m forgetting).

Plus, leaves are changing and the weather is awesome. If you live in a reasonable place, anyway. We’ve got a while yet before we can wear sweaters in Las Vegas. (But I’ll still drink apple cider from Gilcrease Orchard and pretend I’m somewhere colder.)

Anyway, the point is, I really, really love this time of year.

So I thought I’d share some of my Halloween decorations, though they’re not really up to my usual standards. Since we just moved into this house (literally, unpacked the last box yesterday) and we’re not planning a party for this year, I didn’t go quite as all-out as usual. Still, the decorations are sufficient enough to put me in the Halloween spirit.

Now, time to start thinking about the outside decorations… Maybe I should turn my front yard into a cemetery?
